Alright so it has been quite a while since my last post. Let me catch you up real quick (this really should be quick, its been pretty average around here). I have been feeling great about life and positive about everything that is thrown in my direction. I then pulled one of the classic, "forget about God because life is so good" moves. Dumb, but it happens to all of us. I didn't make it far before I kinda smacked myself in the face like, "hey Katie...what are ya doing?!" I started going through the motions; class, homework and friends. The other day I was feeling empty and remembered that I should be getting my satisfaction from the Lord, not trying to figure it out on my own. So hopefully I can get myself back on track.
Anyhow, these last 8 days have been average. Class Monday-Thursday, doing absolutely nothing on the weekends except cleaning, laundry, and sitting at Starbucks for hours. I wouldn't have it any other way though. I have gotten really close with a few people on this trip and it has been really great sitting down and just getting to know each other. It's going to be really hard for me to leave everyone at the end of the trip, especially since we are spread all over the U.S.
I did wish I was home to send my little sister and brother to their first prom, and to celebrate mothers day, BUT my parents are coming to Greece on Friday and staying for a week. This is the best news ever.
Today I have history class from 1:40-4:40, and then I'll spend all night doing my Greek homework for tomorrow, making cheesy friendship bracelets, listening to music, and hopefully catching up on a sermon from my church back home.
3 days until my parents come.
Less than 2 weeks until Santorini.
BAM. I'm back. Sorry for being so distant, I'm working on it, friends.
