Well here I am, blogging later than promised as always. Good news, I have almost all of my souvenirs for people done! About $400 poorer, but will be so worth it when I can give my friends and family their stuff :). Let's see, besides that fabulous feat, my days have been quite average.
Monday I woke up early, hung at Starbucks with Brittany and George (manager) and he taught us some things. We then had class until 4:30 and shopped a little bit afterwards.
Tuesday we had off for labor day, so we slept in a little, went to Starbucks to hang with George again, attempted to go shopping but unlike the U.S...people actually take off for labor day...all of them. So we just chilled in Syntagma Square, and then ended our night at the lovely Aphrodite's house (program director). She made us a much needed huge home cooked dinner. We decided we are going to make more of an effort to spend time with her, she seems lonely. Also, the womans' house is DECKED, though I expected nothing less from a diva such as she.
Wednesday (today) was average also. Woke up early, Starbucks with Brittany and George. Photojournalism class, and more shopping following that. It felt really good to get souvenirs out of the way, those things weigh on you.
Anyways, here I am, Wednesday night. Tomorrow is Lauren's birthday so we're having a midnight celebration. Tomorrow we have class and then we go out to dinner for the birthday girl. Then Friday is a small orientation trip, and then George (Starbucks manager) is taking us to get calamari! Saturday is bungee jumping and clubbing, and Sunday is recover from the weekend and do homework day. Woo. Bring it on.
