Today I experienced the perfect moment. The kind where you know it won't last a long time but you wish you could freeze time and stay there forever. I went home for my lunch break and my mom was also home for hers. I made a grilled cheese and she made a salad and we ate outside on the patio. Once we were done, I played "The Stand" by Hillsong United on my phone (request by my mother, but great song) and we both just sat there, eyes closed, in the heat of the sun, and just relaxed and took in the moment. It was perfect. I was full, with someone that I love, listening to some great worship music, with the scent of the flowers that were just coming up around us. Ugh. Then I had to go back to work but I swear that was a little glimpse of heaven.
Also, driving with the top down all day was glorious. I'm going to be doing that as much as possible in the next six days, drink in the feeling before I don't drive for 3 months. SIX DAYS. In a week from today, I will be in Athens. Like...what?!?!?!?!?!
