April 14: Egypt bound

The last 2 days were spent in Meteora, Greece. This place is famous for the monasteries "suspended in the air." AKA, they are built on these high cliffs. We traveled up the mountains and got to visit a few. These places were magnificent, and though I cannot picture a life as a nun for me, living in a place like this would make me the most happy person in the world. Up so high, it is quiet and peaceful, and you just feel closer to God without so many distractions and the business of the city. The views were amazing, and it was such a freeing feeling to be able to climb to the very edge of a cliff and just stand there, really taking in the beauty around. It really makes you feel alive.
Today I'm going to Egypt, and in case you haven't read my other posts, here is what we will be doing. Me, Lauren, Karlyn, and Brittany will leave around 5 and get there at 6 (2 hour flight, one hour time difference) and begin. Tonight we have no plans other than to explore. Tomorrow we go on a tour of the pyramids, some of it will be by camel. That night we will explore again. Monday we will see some museums, maybe the zoo, and end our day on a boat, sailing down the Nile at sunset. Then Tuesday we come home!
Now, the hotel claims to have internet but says nothing about wifi and the reviews say it doesn't really work. With that said, you will have to wait to hear about my Egypt adventures.
Love you all and pray for a great few days for you! Blog again soon :)
