when it rains, it pours

After all of my complaining about something as small as being peed on yesterday, I suppose I deserved what I had coming for me today. I started off well, even got out of bed earlier than 8. I got to work and was assigned to a classroom of 6 four-year-olds. Though cute as can be, their looks were very deceiving.  They did not listen to me one bit, one peed her pants, and tragedy struck. I leave the door open a crack usually and one of the girls decided she wanted the door closed. She marched over and slammed closed the door.  Turns out the girl has some strength and there were two unbalanced crockpots sitting on the top shelf in the room along the same wall as the door. I'm sure you've already figured out what happens next. Pots fall, glass lids shatter everywhere into a million pieces, I'm still not quite sure how nobody got hurt because they were all in line to wash their hands right under the shelves. I'm not complaining though, it was definitely a miracle.
Well I got to go back to the baby room for an hour and boy do I miss those kids. They cannot talk back and don't have an opinion. After break I was put with the toddlers, which killed me. These kids run and talk back and have so much energy. They aren't as old as the preschoolers so they can't be left alone, yet they are older than the infants so they want to be left alone. KILLER. I was told that I will be in there all next week too.  Oh joy.
Anyhow, I'm sure glad to be home now. I took off work for tomorrow so my weekend begins now. Hallelujah. This job truly makes me appreciate my time off. Tonight I am not sure what I'll be doing, and to be honest, I'd be happy doing a whole lot of nothing. Things I need to make me happy: Burlap and Bean blackberry chai latte, heating pad for my back, sleep, and relaxation. No work til Monday and praise  heavens for that.
